exact change. Bus fare on other routes are $1.25. You can get a bus
pass for $30 that is good for one calendar month.
The CAT 301 runs from the
Strip to Downtown every 15 minutes, 24 hours per day. The CAT 302
is faster because it doesn't stop at every stop, but it doesn't begin
running until 6 pm. The 302 stops at the Downtown Transportation Center,
Fremont Street Experience, Circus Circus, Mirage, Excalibur, and Vacation
Village heading South, and on the way back North stops at Tropicana,
Flamingo Hilton, Spring Mountain Road, Riviera, Stratosphere, FSE,
and the Downtown Transportation Center. All CAT buses are lift equipped
and accessible.
There are two CAT bus routes
which run to and from the airport. The 108 runs along Paradise to
the airport, and Swenson from the airport. The 109 runs both ways
on Maryland Parkway. Coming from the airport, you can take either
bus to the closest cross street to the part The Strip you want to
go to. For example to go to Circus Circus, ride up to Sahara Ave.,
then transfer to the 204 to go to Las Vegas Blvd, which will put you
fairly close to Circus-Circus. You can transfer to the 203 heading
west on Twain to get to the Fashion Show Mall area. You
catch the bus at the airport in the area designated for tour bus parking
(level zero, below the baggage claim area).
Going to the
airport, you can take any East bound bus from the Strip to Maryland
Parkway. Catch the 109 there to the airport. The 108 leaves McCarran
twice an hour, the 109 every 15 minutes (depending upon the time of
day). These busses run a little more frequently than the 108's or 203's
do (the 203 runs hourly).
